Supporting a Paracyclist In a heartfelt initiative.

Balistan cycling club donated a bicycle to a local paracyclist Syed muntazir, recognizing the power of cycling as a tool for empowerment and inclusivity. The donation was not just a gesture of support but a statement about BCC’s belief in the potential of every individual, regardless of physical ability. By providing this paracyclist with a specially adapted bicycle, BCC opened new doors for them to pursue their passion for cycling and maintain an active lifestyle.

Commemorating World Environment Day with a Cycling Training Session

As part of their dedication to environmental stewardship, the Baltistan Cycling Club celebrated World Environment Day by organizing a special ride and tree-planting event. Club members cycled through scenic routes, raising awareness about the importance of protecting the natural environment. The day concluded with a tree-planting initiative, where participants planted trees as a symbol of their commitment to combating climate change and preserving the beauty of the Baltistan region for future generations.

 

Syed Hussain

The club provided support by offering cycling accessories.

Syed Hussain hails from Basho, which is 86 kilometers from Skardu. He is in class VII. He has been living in Skardu for ten years among his siblings, he is the eldest. In order to support his children, his father owns an ice cream shop. In the evening, he sells ice cream with his father in a shop. In addition to this, he sells kulfi on his bicycle. In the market and the surrounding areas, he sells 500 to 600 kulfi daily.

Cycling Training for Specially-Abled Persons – August 2023

In August 2023, BCC organized a groundbreaking event at Forest Park, Skardu, focused on providing cycling training to specially-abled individuals. This initiative was a major step towards inclusivity, as it gave participants the opportunity to learn cycling techniques and boost their confidence. The event was well-received, and BCC's efforts were praised for offering support and opportunities to people of all abilities.
