A Warm Welcome to Sabrina
On a sunny afternoon at Sharifie Sports Complex, Baltistan Cycling Club had the honor of welcoming Sabrina Filzmoser—a world-renowned athlete and passionate cyclist—right here in Skardu. The meetup was part of our Talent Hunt and Climate Change Program, organized in collaboration with AKRSP, and was attended exclusively by young girls from the region.
An Inspiring Story from the Road
What made this event truly special was the story Sabrina brought with her. She recently completed a long and challenging ride from Karachi all the way to Skardu—on a bicycle! Hearing her speak about that journey was nothing short of inspiring.
She shared her experiences from the road: the tough climbs, the unexpected kindness of strangers, and the powerful connection she felt with the environment around her. Her message to the girls was simple but powerful—you are capable of more than you think.
Empowering the Next Generation of Cyclists
The session wasn’t just a talk—it was a moment of connection. The girls, many of whom are part of Baltistan Cycling Club’s training programs, listened with excitement and curiosity. For many, it was their first time meeting a woman who had taken on such a bold and adventurous journey.
